Wake Up, Make Something
Bright brushes are the same shape as flat brushes but have shorter bristles.
Filbert brushes are flat with domed ends. They allow good coverage and have the ability to perform some detail work. Filberts will create softer more rounded strokes because of their shape.
Fan brushes are ideal for blending broad areas of paint.
Flat brushes allow the artist to spread paint quickly and evenly over a surface. They will have longer hairs than their Bright counterpart. Use for bold, sweeping strokes, or on edge for fine lines. These brushes are made from Squirrel hair which is a soft hair that can hold a great deal of liquid and is very absorbent.
Round brushes feature long closely arranged bristles with a round or pointed tip. Useful for detail, wash, fills, and thin to thick lines.
Short Filbert provides a stronger spring than the regular filbert and has a similar to flat shape with rounded edges. Offers a softer stroke than the flat or bright shapes.
